Having spent the last few years working for a "Ma and Pa" business (yeah they are still out there), I spent a great deal of time looking for ways to streamline our operations in order to better utilize time and money. For the most part we used QuickBooks and different Intuit applications for our business, but I wanted to take a moment to talk about BillQuick. If you have run a small business or worked in an office, you have undoubtedly had to utilize a number of different applications in order to manage billing, time clock management as well as other important functions. Not only do you constantly have to open up and cycle through application, but you have to remember password, key functions and if you are running DOS...
Anyway, BillQuick was developed by BQE Software Inc. and was designed to work well with other popular business applications including Intuit Software, QuickBooks and Palm Pilot and Mobile applications. The ability to integrate your varying applications to one program is definitely a plus in any work environment. In addition to offering streamlined business potential, BillQuick also offers a 30-Day Free Trial as well as an ROI Calculator that can help determine whether you are working for your investments or if they are working for you.
I'm going to try out this software for my home business during the free trial period to see just how well I can make it work for me. I suspect that there will be more features than I need. Honestly, I am just looking for billing, invoicing and the ROI Calculator. I don't really have much use for time management tools as I am simple a sole proprietor or "Doing business as" for my freelance work. If you have used this software and have an opinion on its functionality, I'd like to hear from you. What was your experience? Did you find the tools useful, did they allow seamless integration with your other applications?
